Food, Nutrition and Health

TLC

Traditional diets in the region often lack diversity, with nsima serving as the primary staple and vegetables as a secondary accompaniment. To address malnutrition and enhance community health, TLC advocates for the adoption of diverse, nutrient-dense diets.

It is against this background that TLC is promoting various interventions to combat malnutrition, water borne illnesses, and increase access to safe water.

The key interventions being promoted include the following:
- Community Complementary Feeding and Learning (CCFL) Session
- Promotion of integrated homestead farming
- Food processing, preservation, and utilization
- Nutrition education to households
- Access to water and sanitation
